Those who are members of the West Georgia church of Christ are seeking to please God according to His revealed will as it is presented in the Bible.
Our hope is that you will always be able to come here and find something spiritually uplifting or at least thought provoking. Luke chapter 15 recounts Jesus teaching the parable of the prodigal son. That passage of scripture has been used as a text for many sermons, Bible studies and even the theme of some books. The title of one such book is “Will God Run” that asks the question will God run to meet His repentant children. From that parable we learn that yes God will in fact run out to meet a wayward child returning home. (Luke 15:20). |

In order to understand what one must do to be saved one must understand the factors involved in one's salvation. There are two basic factors, the divine and the human, better understood as grace and faith (Eph.2:8-9); grace being the divine factor and faith being the human factor. So far as grace is concerned everything has been done. This involved the death of Christ (Heb.2:9). It involved the revelation of God's plan to save (Titus 2:11-12). |
